Monday night Monkey refused to eat his dinner, or anything else we put in front of him. We decided not to give him any snacky type items that we would usually give him when he doesn't eat his dinner. So we continued with our bedtime routine. Monkey went to bed no problem. 11:30 pm rolled around, Hayden woke up screaming, Papa Bear and I went to check on him, We couldn't figure out at that moment why he was so upset.
Hayden cried until midnight, We gave him water.. He drank it and lay down in his bed, Midnight came and he was screaming again. Ahhh It dawned on Papa Bear... Monkey is HUNGRY, So the Zoo Keeper made Monkey a snack in the kitchen and put a little blanket on the floor, and The Moneky and The Zoo Keeper had a picnic. A 1 am Picnic.

Tuesday Morning came at 9:00 What a treat, The Zoo Keeper and Koala got to cuddle until 9:00 am, Koala loves His momma's Cuddles.

Lunch Time Tuesday:
Koala Got diced up sweet potato, He ate it, So much for puree's Koala Doesn't Like them, He really really likes solid chunky food, and he likes feeding himself.

I'm taking On a New Challenge soon... I'm going to Attack Martha Stewart Holiday Projects. Starting with The Easter Egg Project. I'm not only going to do the Project, I'm going to do it better!

Anyways This Zoo Keeper needs to Feed The Animals.

<<< Photograph of Koala being cut from his momma. :)

Today Was Baby Ko-Ko-Koala's Doctors appointment. For his 4 month shots.... (Yes we are 2 months behind on shots) I was slightly worried to be honest, that he would be underweight because he doesn't eat a lot of solids yet, NOPE that is not the case, He is in the 97th percentile weighing a whopping 18 lbs 8oz.
I think with Koala we will have to try Baby Led Weaning. I will let you all know the progress of our "BLW"

Today Little Monkey threw himself into a mud puddle on the way to the car... Poor guy I felt bad, he then screamed the whole way home (3 minutes ) and When we got home I changed him and put him to bed... He just grabbed his blanket and cuddled up into his bed.

Yesterday I Gave Monkey a Cookie, And Monkey for the first time Clear as day said... Thank-you Mom.... MOM what is this I want to be called Mommy ... Mommy... He calls my husband Daddy... But I get MOM, haha at least he calls me something...

Alright..... Now to clean my Kitchen, ITs kind of a disaster ... just a little bit. :)

Editing

Connor Jon Bryan,
Before Editing i look at all the images on the camera. Depending on the package bought I narrow down the images, leaving about ten more images just incase a different one that i chose doesnt look right once on the editing table.
I then Edit one by one, taking at least 10 to 15 minutes per image, sometimes when there is a lot of brush work to do it can take me up to a 1/2 hour to get the edit the way I want it.
When editing images I listen to Hits one on the radio, it helps me focus on the task at hand.

Taking an Image and turning it into a piece of art.
The image above is a new thing for me and was out of my comfort zone a little, but it doesnt give me an excuse not to try.
This is usually what I get before I turn it into something else, Sometimes it will remain Like this.

The Last thing I do when editing is place the frame around, Once the frame is the way I want it, I hand type My Signature.
I put the time into these pictures and I hope you enjoy them.

Hair And CAKE!

<<< Before

This Past weekend, My sister in-law Lydia (who happens to be the best hairdresser I've ever had) came up to cut Haydens Hair....
My Son Had so much hair and had never had a haircut yet... This was to be his first hair cut.
We also Celebrated My mother in-laws birthday (it was on the 19th) and Haydens Birthday (on March 2nd )

Auntie Lydia and her boyfriend Bruno bought Hayden a special smock for his hair cut, and they got him a book "Aarons Hair" By Robert Munsch.

We placed Hayden in his Booster seat in the bathroom ready for his haircut. We gave him a cup of milk and Auntie started his hair... By the way ... cup of milk ... BAD IDEA... The Hair ended up getting caught in the milk straw .... YUCK.

We tied a blue string around Haydens hair, and Lydia made the first cut... (I held back all the tears)
Lydia worked Fast, and his Golden locks took over the floor. After his haircut he had a shower.

My baby transformed into a young child before my eyes... He looks like such a little boy. Ready to turn 2 years old in one week from now.

News Reports

Sleep

Being a mom of two children under the age of two there are some things that you can count on. One of them is 8 hours uninterrupted sleep will not be happening any time soon.
Last night was no exeption to the rule. 10 pm as always Matthew and I went to bed, Time to feed Connor, I put Connor down in his bassinet, I awoke shortly after to hear tears coming from Hayden's room. Look at the time 11:00 pm "Didn't I just fall asleep" Alright time to give Hayden some love, I cuddled with Hayden until 11:30, Making sure that he was asleep. Crawl back into bed with Matthew, who has now snuggled all the blankets. Steel blankets back and go to sleep. 1:30 am rolls around and Connor is Hungry... Time to Feed Again.... Back to sleep after feeding. Then here comes 4 am No not Connor its Hayden... Matthew brings Hayden into our bed. 4:10 am Connor awakes for a feed... From 4:10 to 6 am Hayden kicks my back as We sleep... I wake up again at 6:00 to feed Connor... Matthew has already left the bed and is getting ready for work.
Hayden wants to wake up and go play. I have to convince him to sleep. I put Connor back down. We all go back to sleep... 7:30 am rolls around all too soon. I wake up and there is Hayden standing beside by bed poking my nose. (his little finger fits way to far... ) Hayden points to the water glass beside my bed, I give him water to drink and try my hardest to convince him yet again to crawl into bed... No Go ...

So Up at 7:30 it is...
Breakfast ... Banana Oats and Milk for Hayden ... More Boobs for Connor and for me a quick granola bar.
I'm Slightly stuffy with Haydens Cold. But it will be gone tomorrow.

News Report

I did use Google Translate to translate the text

A group of mothers Timmins united to denounce the policies regarding the posting of some pictures on the social networking site Facebook.

The withdrawal of a photo showing Kayleigh Cecco breast-feeding her child by Facebook has provoked outrage. The young mother has received a notification in which Facebook advising him that the image has been removed because it contains nudity.

Since then, several young mothers Timmins posted photos showing them breastfeed their children on Facebook as a support Kayleigh Cecco.

One of the participants in this group, Natasha Lessard explained that the move aims to raise awareness of the fact that breastfeeding is "part of life."

I want to breastfeed my child and he will not eat in a bathroom. He will eat in the dining room, the lounge in the restaurant as the rest of the world.

- Natasha Lessard

The group urges other women to join them in order to send a clear message to Facebook: mothers want the company does not censor pictures of lactating women displayed on the profiles of its users.

In an official statement, a spokesman argues that many Facebook groups supporting breastfeeding have a page on its network. Facebook provides not check every picture published on his site, but said that the rule for images containing nudity will be applied when a complaint is received.

Thursday Morning.

Today I go on the news again.
My firm stand on public breastfeeding has lead me to the news twice now. Breastfeeding in my mind is the normal and natural way to feed your babies. I breastfed my first son Hayden for 10 months until he self weaned, and I plan on doing the same for Connor.
The wonderful things about breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding reduces colds, virus's, and infections. If the baby happens to pick up something, the severity will be lessened, This is due to the antibodies in the mothers milk.
Unlike when you Formula feed, Breastmilk is easily digested. If your child has any problems with your milk it's easy to change your diet to pinpoint the child's problem. (Dairy/ Wheat/ Caffeine, Are a few things that may affect your breast milk)
Breastfed babies are proven to have less learning difficulties, Breast milk helps babies brain grow and develop.
Breast fed babies have less trips to the hospital.

There are many Pro's in breastfeeding that affect mommy as well.
-Breastfeeding allows mommy to eat more, and burn calories faster, Thus allowing the mother to lose the baby weight faster.
Breast milk is always available, it's always warm, and it's is always ready for baby... No Putting together bottles at 2 am
Breastmilk is easier to digest allowing less spit up and babies poop doesn't stink as much as a formula fed baby.
The Mother can sleep during Night time feedings.
Breast Milk may be pumped and given to baby by dad or another family member by bottle.

There are so many more Pro's, As I sit here typing I look at my Son Connor, 5 Moths old in his bouncer... He is Chubby and Tall... All he has ever had is breast milk.

My Son Is healthy and strong.
My almost two year old Hayden is also A Strong Child. He walked at a little over 9 months, Although he was crawling at five months, and standing alone by 8 months.

I took a quick break to read a new found favorite blog of mine ... The Leaky Boob ... or The Leaky B@@B on Facebook... I guess the word Boob is not allowed on facebook
She came up with 9 very unexpected Benefits of Breastfeeding. My favorite has to be what she calls the NAK (Nursing at the Keyboard) And I have to admit that I have Taken advantage of feeding time more than once to check Facebook or my e-mail, Or do Photography Edits. And Now that Connor is getting stronger and he can sit by himself for a short period of time it is getting easier.

FACEBOOK AND BOOBS !!!

Now I have to admit, When I opened my Facebook Page On Monday, and had a message that said
"You uploaded a photo that violates our Terms of Use and this photo has been removed. Facebook does not allow photos that attack an individual or group, or that contain nudity, drug use, violence or other violations of the Terms of Use. These policies are designed to ensure Facebook remains a safe, secure and trusted environment for all users, including the many children who use the site."
I was Fuming Mad, They had removed breastfeeding Pictures Of me and My son,
So I went to the help center and Read

What types of content are not allowed on Facebook?
Content (i.e., photos, groups, shares, etc.) is removed from Facebook...
Content (i.e., photos, groups, shares, etc.) is removed from Facebook when it violates Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

Types of content that are prohibited from Facebook include, but are not restricted to the following:
  • No nudity or other sexually explicit content
  • No content that contains hate speech or directly attacks an individual or group
  • No content that contains self harm or excessive violence
  • No content that contains illegal drug use
First of All there was NO NUDITY ... And It is not a sexual act to feed your child... IT is not hate or self harm or violent nor did it contain drug use... It was just a baby attached to a breast enjoying a meal. Why not remove pictures of babies drinking from a bottle it is basically the same thing, except that Breastfeeding is healthier and more natural.

No. A Facebook administrator looks into each report thoroughly in order to decide the appropriate course of action. If no violation of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities has occurred, then no action will be taken. If a violation has occurred, then you may receive a warning or become disabled, depending on the severity of the violation.

This made me feel worse, Someone who is on my Friends list reported my picture, As an offending picture... Everyone who knows me knows how 100% I am for Breastfeeding.

So I made this Proposal...
Everyone who is pro breastfeeding and happens to have a breastfeeding picture available POST IT, Make it your Profile Picture.

So I have to admit... Now I am not upset with Facebook anymore.... They have merely added Fuel to a Fire of Many mothers who are Pro Breast Feeding... Thus allowing us to get the message out. As one of the Ladies posted so eloquently
If you are a breastfeeding mother, and are not ashamed to show it, please put a breastfeeding photo as your profile pic, to support the natural and normal way to feed your children. Support the fact that breastfeeding is not a form of pornographic nudity, it is not distasteful nor is it shameful.
*To equate breastfeeding photos to exp...licit nudity is ridiculous*
This is now Posted as a status update on many womens walls...
I would like to say Thank-you to my Friends for your support.
Women of The "Lovely Lotus Group" in Timmins Ontario Thank-you for all the continuous support. And See you at the Gathering today.
